Welcome to Midlandia!
Midlandia is a fictional world that has been created for use with
some grades of the Little Lincoln curriculum (early kindergarten through
second grade). Its citizens are animal-like creatures called Midlandians
that have unique personalities, careers, strengths, and weaknesses, just
like humans do. The town in Midlandia is full of exciting locations
where the Midlandians live, work, and learn, such as the Town Square,
Harvest Farms, Playland Park, and Animal Land. The Midlandian characters
are used in all of the offline printed materials, the Little Lincoln
Reading Series, the Little Lincoln online audio series, and many of the
online games. Several of the characters play key roles in the Little
Lincoln TV show, Meet Me At the Great Tree, which takes place in the
world of Midlandia.

The beautifully designed Midlandian characters appeal to the student's
imagination and sense of creativity. As Little Lincoln students learn
more about the Midlandians, they begin to relate to their feelings,
emotions, and experiences. The citizens of Midlandia experience many
situations that children often do, like trying out for a sports team,
moving to a new location, or making friends. They are also used to teach
students important social lessons and to discuss things like jobs,
government, and the environment. The Adventures in Midlandia audio
series allows the Little Lincoln curriculum to reinforce important
concepts, especially for auditory learners, through real-world problem
solving.
Now that you've learned a little bit about what Midlandia is, let's
meet some of the Midlandians!
